An evacuation plan is a carefully designed diagram that shows evacuation routes, main and emergency exits, established rules of human behavior, order and sequence of actions in an emergency situation. They are posted on in visible places, near exits, in buildings and structures that have more than one floor in case of simultaneous stay on the floor of more than twenty-five man.

The process of creating an evacuation plan can be divided into 5 stages:
